# Changelog

Updates to the SpreadSpace API and official SDKs, newest first. See
[Versioning](/api/versioning) for supported API versions and compatibility
policy. The entries below apply to API version `2026-10-07`.

## October 2026

* Adds `display_name`, `period_label`, `source_pages` and `links.data` to extraction list rows, so callers can identify a document and follow its data read. See [Find an extraction](/api/overview#find-an-extraction).
* Reads an uploaded paystub PDF as a [Paystub object](/api/api-reference/paystubs/object), and adds `job_title` to the object.
* Adds the [Investment Income Statement](/api/api-reference/investment-income-statements/object) and [Supporting Table](/api/api-reference/supporting-tables/object) objects, each with a retrieve and a list route.
* Reads a Finicity VOIE payroll report, VOIE paystub report or pay statement report as paystubs, and adds the `extraction_source` value `finicity_voie`.
* Adds the [Paystub object](/api/api-reference/paystubs/object), with its own retrieve and list routes, and reads a Plaid payroll income response as paystubs and W-2s.
* Reads a Plaid asset report, and a Finicity VOA or cash flow report, as bank statements.
* Reads a Plaid liabilities response or a Finicity customer accounts list as a debt schedule.
* Adds three `extraction_source` values: `plaid_liabilities`, `finicity_accounts` and `plaid_payroll_income`.
* Releases the official TypeScript, Python, and C# SDKs **1.1.0**, which pin API version `2026-10-07` by default. See [SDKs](/sdks/overview).
* API version `2026-10-07` is current. Requests pinning `2026-07-19` or `2026-05-03` answer the same way.
* Deletes a Plaid or Finicity transactions file as soon as its statements are extracted and recorded. See [Security](/api/security#retention-and-deletion).
* Names query parameters and path placeholders in snake_case on every operation.
* Serves a Form W-2 uploaded on its own as the [W-2 object](/api/api-reference/w2s/object), with its own retrieve and list routes.
* Adds the [Equity Statement](/api/api-reference/equity-statements/object) and [Comprehensive Income Statement](/api/api-reference/comprehensive-income-statements/object) objects.
* Reads statement mapping per statement: the [Profit Loss Mapping](/api/api-reference/statement-mappings/profit-loss-mapping) and [Balance Sheet Mapping](/api/api-reference/statement-mappings/balance-sheet-mapping) objects, each with a retrieve and a list route.
* Adds the balance sheet's accounts to the chart of accounts under `bs`.
* Adds `statement` to the `extraction.mapped` webhook event.
* Serves a Form 1040 schedule or form uploaded on its own as its own [tax return](/api/api-reference/tax-returns/object).
* Validates `loan_type` and `loan_sub_type` by name, and `rate_type` as `Fixed`, `SOFR` or `Prime`.
* Answers 404 from the tax return, bank statement and balance sheet retrieves for a document of another kind.

## September 2026

* Adds statement mapping: `GET /api/borrowers/{borrower_id}/extractions/{doc_id}/mapping`, `GET /api/borrowers/{borrower_id}/extractions/mappings`, `GET /api/chart-of-accounts`, `GET` and `PUT /api/chart-of-accounts/export-map`, and the `extraction.mapped` webhook event. * Finalizes credit memos: `finalized_at` on the memo list, the final PDF served, `423 memo_locked` on a render request until reopened, and the `memo.finalized` and `memo.reopened` webhook events. See [Credit memos](/api/credit-memos).
* Releases the official TypeScript, Python, and C# SDKs **1.0.0**, with `@spreadspace/embed` **1.0.0** and `@spreadspace/react` **0.2.0**. See [SDKs](/sdks/overview).
* Adds `GET /api/extractions/exports/{export_id}/download` and the terminal events `export.succeeded`, `export.failed`, `export.cancelled`, `memo_render.succeeded`, `memo_render.failed`, and `memo_render.cancelled`. See [Webhooks](/api/webhooks).
* Adds asynchronous extraction exports under `/api/extractions/exports`: create, list, retrieve, and cancel. See [Exports](/api/exports).
* Adds credit memo render retrieval and cancellation under `/api/loans/{loan_id}/memos/{memo_id}/renders/{render_id}`. See [Credit memos](/api/credit-memos).

## August 2026

* Adds `GET` and `PUT /api/borrowers/{borrower_id}/extractions/fin-ebitda-addbacks` for a loan's saved EBITDA add-back selections.
* Adds `POST /api/sandbox/reset`, which resets a test workspace and requires the `sandbox:reset` scope.
* Adds attribute snapshot reads under `/api/loans/{loan_id}/attributes`, which require `spreads:read`. See [Spreads](/api/spreads).
* Adds the `spread.reopened` webhook event.
* Adds typed extraction retrieval and listing for balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, debt schedules, AR agings, AP agings, and bank statements, plus `GET /api/borrowers/{borrower_id}/extractions/reports/{report_type}`.
* Adds credit memo listing, PDF render requests, and rendered PDF retrieval under `/api/loans/{loan_id}/memos`. See [Credit memos](/api/credit-memos).
